WE are the DORADOS!
Formed in 2021, the Dresden DORADOS Swim Team is a recreational summer swim team hosted by the Dresden Swim Center.
Children ages 6-18 can join the team. The ONLY requirement for participation is that the swimmers MUST to be able to swim 1 length of the pool (25 yards) without assistance. Throughout the 8-week season, DORADO coaches work to teach correct stroke technique in all four competitive strokes (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly), dives and turns, as well as build endurance and encourage the swimmers to RACE! The coaches also emphasize the value of good sportsmanship and team spirit - with the overarching goal of having FUN!
We begin practicing after Memorial Day and continue swimming through the third week of July. DORADO swimmers compete in 6 dual meets against other teams in the Tri-County Aquatic League and in the TCAL championship meet at the end of the season.
Summer league swimming is truly a family affair! Parent volunteers are integral to the success of our DORADO team so we ask ALL families to help. We appreciate ALL volunteer help and THANK YOU in advance for your support!
