"Team Float" in the Dresden Homecoming Parade

Start: 6:30 PM
End: 7:30 PM

- Arrive and line up at 6:00PM behind Tri-Valley
Middle School
- All Dorados should wear their Red, White and
Blue Team T-Shirt and other patriotic items (hats, leis, etc.)
- We have some pinwheels and mini flags for kids
to hold/wave and ice pops for all participants. Feel free to bring you own!
- Dresden Pool LGs and Coaches will walk alongside
the trailer through the parade route or ride in the back of the dump truck.
Dorado Parents, we could use some
help with… - Decorating the trailer on Tuesday during
practice – trailer will be inside the pool fence. We already have some red,
white and blue table skirts and some other decorations. Anyone want to
take charge?
- Donations of penny/small candies so the kids can
toss it during the parade (tootsie rolls, dum dums, etc.)
- Share any other ideas you may have with Pool Mgr
Heather Stewart or Coach Christi – we want this to be a FUN TEAM ACTIVITY!!
The Pool is offering two PARADE DAY SPECIALS just for our Team! - Stay the Day & Swim! (11AM to 5PM) – Dorados swim for HALF-PRICE
- Come Back Later & Swim Some More (3PM to 5PM) – Dorados swim for FREE; parents/siblings $3, non-swimming parents can watch for FREE.

SCHEDULE: 3:30 PM - Set Up Begins 4:00 PM - Dresden Swimmers arrive and check in with the coaches in the bright yellow and orange shirts! 4:30 PM – Dresden warm-ups 5:00 PM – Visitor warm-ups 5:00 PM – Officials’ meeting 5:15 PM – Timers’ meeting 5:30 PM – Meet start
- All swimmers need to have their arm marked with their Event/Heat/Lane info. All 10U swimmers should also have their first + last name written in Sharpie on their shoulder blade. Our coaches and junior coaches will help get this done!
- Dorado tattoos will be available for all swimmers before or after warmups!!
- Team parking is available in the Swim Center parking lot. Additional parking is available on either side of the venue in the lots at Dresden Elementary and Tri-Valley Middle School.
- For SAFETY reasons, the competition course is only open to Meet Participants. ALL other areas of the pool, including the Diving Well, Shallow Splash Area and Wading Pool are CLOSED during the meet.
- Team camping and spectator seating is available in the park area surrounding the pool. Feel free to bring tents and chairs. Coolers are welcome. The Dresden Swim Center is an alcohol-free facility.
- For the safety of our swimmers, photography is NOT permitted from behind the blocks and in the locker rooms.
- Full concessions are available onsite at "The Hangout".
- Upon conclusion of the meet, please have your team clean up their area/place all trash in the trash receptacles.
- Stormy weather with lightning in the area will cause a meet delay.
**If your swimmer cannot make it to the meet for any reason, pls let us know IMMEDIATELY so that we can scratch him/her and try to change relays. Send Coach Christi an email to [email protected] or call the pool at 740.754.6567 during 10:30am - 5pm.**
